Mizumoto-san (B4) won the Excellent Poster Award!

At the Next Generation Soft Materials Co-Creation Center event held at Hokkaido University on October 2, 2025,

Sakuyo Mizumoto, a fourth-year undergraduate student, gave a poster presentation.

The title of the presentation was "Molecular weight limit of the ordinary equation of state for polymer solutions," and it reexamined the equation of state for the thermodynamic properties of polymer solutions from the perspective of molecular weight dependence, presenting a new analysis that links the scaling law of intermolecular interactions with experimental observations. This research deepens the fundamental understanding of the universal behavior of polymers, and is an achievement that will contribute to the development of soft matter physics from both theoretical and experimental perspectives.

This presentation attracted a lot of attention from the participants and won the poster presentation award. Further developments in this research are expected in the future.
